Fresh from a highly successful run at the NY Midtown International Theatre Festival, Nora Brown’s DAD DOESN’T DANCE will come to the Delaware Arts Center in Narrowsburg on Saturday, September 24 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20.
In this solo show—a benefit for the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance—Nora crosses the continent from the wilds of Winnipeg to the haze of Hollywood as she encounters five mysterious men and the clues they reveal. An infidelity causes her to look at her life, leading to the revelation of the existence of a biological father. The mystery unfolds, until she faces her biological father’s door. Does she have the courage to knock?
DAD DOESN’T DANCE is nominated for Outstanding Solo Show Production in the NY Midtown International Theatre Festival 2011. Nora Brown is an actor, director, choreographer, and author. She has performed on stage and in film in New York , nationally and internationally. Brown has choreographed and directed in New York and (as Judie Colpman) was formerly a principal dancer with the National Ballet of Canada. She lives in Beach Lake , PA and New York City .
